APA Local Chapters
APA has more than 150 affiliated local chapters located across the nation. Each chapter operates autonomously within the APA National Policy Guidelines and assumes their non-profit status. This means each individual chapter operates independently and does not have a direct financial relationship with APA National. Both chapters and the national organization share and support the same goals, which include the most important goal of education within the payroll profession.
Local chapters work in conjunction with APA National to provide outstanding networking, education opportunities, and professional development resources through chapter meetings, study groups, statewide/regional conferences, and community outreach. Affiliated chapters support APA's mission and encourage national membership and participation, while promoting educational growth and unity in their profession to their local communities.
APA President's Board of Advisors
APA has divided the nation into eight separate regions. Each Board of Advisor (BOA) is assigned to one region for a two year term. During their term, BOAs serve as the chapter's voice to APA's Board of Directors and APA National. They make recommendations based on their chapters' input to enhance the relationship between APA National and local chapters. Each BOA is available to offer support and mentoring to chapters within their region. To contact your region's Board of Advisor, please utilize the Chapter Finder Regional Map.
