Find your seats, payroll students! The APA’s Educational Institutions Payroll Conference (EIPC) is back in session, complete with a new curriculum. The conference, which will focus on compliance and operational issues impacting payroll professionals in higher education workplaces, takes place October 23-26, 2022, at APA’s MEET Las Vegas. Among the topics to be addressed include best practices, taxation of faculty, employment eligibility, and more.

What You Will Take Away

The EIPC workshops are specifically tailored for payroll and tax professionals of all experience levels who are employed by public or private colleges and universities across the globe. This year’s conference curriculum will include workshops that will focus on the following objectives:

“The EIPC is an amazing conference that will build your professional and personal skills year after year,” said Crystal Dawn Pidjeon, FPC, HR Assistant Director of Payroll and Benefits at Boise State University. “There are always new and exciting topics and plenty of information, skills, and new techniques to bring back to your colleagues.”

A Plethora of Educational Workshops

Payroll professionals attending EIPC can have access to nine exclusive, live workshop sessions, for a total of 25 workshops, addressing a range of higher-education-related topics and training over four days. Some of these workshops include the following:

“This was my first time attending and the knowledge I gained was enormous,” said James Eldridge, FPC, Payroll Supervisor at Herzing University. “From workshops to networking, this surpassed my expectations, and I came back to the office with valuable tools and an invigorated mindset!”

Attendees can earn up to 17.5 RCHs, 1.75 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), or 17.5 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.
