APA Named a Top Workplace for Eighth Consecutive Year
For the eighth consecutive year, the American Payroll Association (APA) has been named a Top Workplace in 2020 by the San Antonio Express-News. The designation is based on a survey the Express-News sent to employees across the city earlier this year.
The APA is among 85 organizations in San Antonio that were recognized as a Top Employer. Since 1982, the APA has been the nation’s leader in payroll education. Since then, the goal of the APA has been to increase the payroll professional’s skill level through knowledge and a supportive community of peers.
To meet those standards, the APA has followed its unique set of core values and beliefs to help define what is important to the organization. Those core values are the following:
We possess a vision that encourages others to learn, innovate, and share insight. We motivate others to make a positive difference in their own lives with courage and integrity today and in the future.
Everything we do is a team effort. We inspire, challenge, respect, and support team members to be their best and always maintain positive working relationships.
We are devoted to fulfilling the APA's mission by providing education with enthusiasm and constantly striving to learn, develop and improve in all that we do.
We know that our members must be 100% accurate in their jobs, so we do not settle for anything less in what we do in service to our members.
We are empowered to solve problems, suggest ideas for improvement, and propose new programs to better serve our membership.
We continuously build and encourage a mindset that celebrates the uniqueness among persons, ideas, and values.
We have fun at work, which leads to a dynamic company culture. A dynamic company culture boosts productivity. We work hard but we play hard, too!
Congratulations to the other 84 San Antonio businesses for a job well done!
