Oregon Payroll Reporting System Coming Soon
The Oregon Employment Department has announced the launch of a new web-based payroll reporting system called the Oregon Payroll Reporting System (OPRS). It is scheduled to be available later this year.
ORPS will replace several reporting options with a more user-friendly, streamlined system. Employers will use the new system to file combined payroll reports. OPRS will not require any downloads or installations to an employer’s computer. It will provide improved accuracy of payroll data by having checkpoints throughout the application. It will also provide access to real-time information.
The go-live plan will be phased-in, meaning small groups of employers will be invited to access the system during each phase. Invitations will be sent via email, and the initial phases will only include users that previously filed electronically.
