The ideal candidate for this position will perform professional-level accounting tasks, splitting their time between the Payroll and the Accounting and Analysis sections of the Finance Department.



Space Needle, Seattle, WA, Payroll Specialist

The Space Needle is looking for a Payroll Specialist. As a member of the Accounting and Payroll team, this position will be responsible for all payroll related functions for the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass including: maintenance of daily timekeeping records as the basis for both the payroll and management reporting system; production of the payroll in a timely and accurate manner; preparation and distribution of requisite monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to management, governmental agencies, unions, and insurers. This position supports the Space Needle, LLC, and Center Art, LLC/Chihuly Garden and Glasss organization by exhibiting the following behaviors: integrity, discretion, professionalism, leadership, humility, respect, accountability, and team building.

This position is responsible for management and oversight of the payroll department. This person is responsible for ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, identifying and implementation of industry best practices, and managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of payroll activities including year-end audit preparation and support of budget and forecast activities.
