Local Chapters & Certification
APA Local Chapters offer many opportunities for payroll professionals to become certified or to earn Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs) for their current payroll certification. They achieve this by coordinating study groups to assist members who are pursuing payroll certification. Chapters also conduct chapter meetings and statewide payroll conference workshops that qualify for RCHs.
Awarding Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs)
All chapter-sponsored study groups, meetings, seminars and/or conferences must be approved by APA's Certification Department prior to awarding recertification credit hours (RCHs) to attendees.
If your chapter plans to award RCHs, please submit the completed RCH Approval Form via e-mail by clicking on the "Submit by Email" button provided at the top of the form. If you are unable to submit the form via e-mail, please fax the completed form to (210) 224-5814.
For additional questions, please contact APA's Certification Department at 210-226-4600 or certification@americanpayroll.org.
FPC/CPP Study Groups
APA's Chapter Relations Department ensures all registered chapter study groups are posted on APA's website in effort to publicize and promote participation within each group.
A free copy of APA's The Payroll Source® is offered to any CPP study group with 10 or more participants. A free copy of APA's Payroll Practice Fundamentals is offered to any FPC study group with 10 or more participants. Certificates of Participation are also made available to all chapters. APA brochures, pens, and badges are also available to chapters for meetings (while supplies last).
Chapter Relations also facilitates a free annual Study Group Audio Seminar in August on organizing APA local chapter study groups and the importance of certification.
To register your study group with APA National, you may do so electronically through your Chapter Profile or submit submit the Study Group Registration form. |
