To recertify through continuing education for the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation, an individual must accumulate a minimum of 120 qualifying recertification credit hours (RCHs) over the five-year recertification period. Upon verification of RCHs by the American Payroll Association (APA), a recertification sticker certifying the individual for another five-year period is sent to the individual for placement on their original certificate. |

Upon verification of RCHs by the American Payroll Association (APA), a recertification sticker certifying the individual for another three-year period is sent to the individual for placement on their original certificate. |
