CPP Recertification
To recertify through continuing education for the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation, an individual must accumulate a minimum of 120 qualifying recertification credit hours (RCHs) over the five-year recertification period. Upon verification of RCHs by the American Payroll Association (APA), a recertification sticker certifying the individual for another five-year period is sent to the individual for placement on their original certificate.
FPC Recertification
To recertify through continuing education for the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation, an individual must accumulate a minimum of 60 qualifying recertification credit hours (RCHs) over the three-year recertification period. Upon verification of RCHs by the American Payroll Association (APA), a recertification sticker certifying the individual for another three-year period is sent to the individual for placement on their original certificate.
